I am graduating January 14, 2016 from California State University, Long Beach with a Bachelor's Degree in Communication Studies, having maintained a cumulative GPA of 3.54.
Experience
I have tutored professionally since 2010. Ever since I helped my very first student, Jimmy pass his geometry class, I knew that I had found my calling: teaching. I love being able to help explain difficult concepts to struggling students in engaging and interactive ways that motivate and inspire students to succeed. For me, watching the "light bulb" go off in someone's head when somethings just clicks for the first time is one of the best things in the world to see. If you're looking for a smart tutor, I have a lot of GPA stats and test scores to back up my qualifications. I received a perfect 800 on the Critical Reading section of the SAT, a perfect 36 on the English section of the ACT, a respectable 780 on the SAT II Mathematics Level 1 subject test, and 5's on six AP tests: AP English Language, AP English Literature, Spanish, US History, Government & Civics, and Psychology. I also got 4's on European History and Economics. In college, I studied Communication Studies, so I have a wealth of information about interpersonal communication. What that means for you as a student is that I will always do my best to be friendly and helpful as we learn together.
