Experience
4+ years tutoring experience 2340 SAT 800 Math IIC 790 Chemistry, US History 5s on AP Chemistry, Calculus BC, European History, US History, & English Language IB Diploma Hey guys! I'm Brian, a recent graduate of the California Institute of Technology in Economics and Computer Science. I have a broad range of interests spanning science, math, engineering, social science, the humanities, the arts, and athletics (I also played on the Caltech basketball team). My background allows me to tutor general college prep, especially the SAT, ACT & GRE. I love to teach analytical thinking, ranging from advanced Math and Physics to strategies for understanding literature and developing arguments. I know how to teach because I have learned from the best. I do not just mean Caltech professors, though they deserve their props. The Institute fosters a collaborative environment where students thrive through teaching and learning from others. You really cannot get by in the school without these skills. Thus, my educational experience has exposed me to many of the effective ways people learn and teach. When I tutor people, no matter what the subject, I keep my utmost focus on patience and encouragement. Even if I find the subject easy, I can harken back to long nights trying to understand complex topics at Caltech which my tutors found easy, and gain inspiration from their patience and encouragement. These experiences fostered in me a love of learning and passing my knowledge onto others. I hope you feel inclined to take advantage of my willingness, no, intense desire to work with your clients. I have attached my CV for your reference. I will remain local at least through the end of the school year as I prepare for graduate school. Thanks! Brian
